That is why the Plačić Winery likes to describe this most popular Istrian white variety as “red wine dressed in white”. Their goal is, among other things, to show that Malvasia is not a wine for just one year. We could go further and tell many similar peculiarities, but the above is enough to prove that the Palčić Winery is one of the most special in Croatia, a winery whose story is yet to be told.

Wines with a special emphasis on terroir, that is special character that a wine is thought to get from the particular place where the grapes were grown.

Great wine starts with a great grape, and our grapes are the finest in the region. Our signature LEONARDO PALČIĆ WINE wines capture the true essence of the terroir in which the fruit is grown. Each wine provides a wonderful intensity of fruit, texture and mouthfeel, making it easy to pair and enjoy.

MALVAZIJA - BLACK LABEL

Malvasia requires fullness in the mouth therefore in the Palčić Winery Malvasia is kept on yeast until March, without decanting.

the "Buzinija" vineyard of 14 hectares is only 2.5 km away from the sea, in which the autochthonous Malvasia variety with a total area of 5 h is planted.

MERLOT - BLACK LABEL

Our Merlot, which has been aged in different barrels for four years, is truly unique. It is dry, it seems sweet in the mouth, and are dominated by vanilla and chocolate aromas.
